Steve Carroll - Head Coach
2019 will be Coach Carroll’s second year as the Head Cross Country Coach and third with the program. He is also the Head Track Coach at Skutt Catholic. Carroll is SkyHawk alumni and the Director of Alumni Relations at SCHS. Carroll was a member of the 2001 runner-up XC team and also a relay and individual State Champion in Track. Coach graduated from Wayne State College where he competed collegiately in Cross Country and Track & Field

Mike Mingo- Assistant Coach
2019 will be Coach Mingo’s second year with the XC program. He had been the Boys XC and Track Coach at Burke for the past 28 years. Coach Mingo is a three-time Metro Coach of the Year recipient. He currently teaches in Millard Public Schools. Mingo is supported by his wife Kathy. Both children, Madison and Cole attend South Dakota State. Madison is a jumper for the track team, while Cole is a runner for track team. 

Dawn Fuelberth - Assistant Coach 
2019 will be Coach Fuelberth's third season with the program, she is the "go to" person who helps make our program a success! Fuelberth teaches Science at Skutt Catholic and was recently named, Outstanding Biology Teacher for the State of Nebraska.  She is supported by her husband, Todd a former UNK runner who still competes today. Their three children Rachel, Ian, and Colin attend SCHS. Rachel and Ian are XC and Track athletes. 

Nate Ruffino - Assistant Coach
Coach Ruffino is entering his fourth year as an assistant to the program and is a great asset. Coach Ruffino is a former SkyHawk  wrestler, XC, and track athlete. His 1998 wrestling team was recently inducted into the SCHS Hall of Fame and won the school's first State Championship.  Ruffino is part owner of Boyd and Charlie's BBQ. He is supported by wife Lacey and future SkyHawk daughters Avery and Gabriella.

Todd Leutzinger - Assistant Coach 
Coach Leutzinger begins his third year as a coach with the XC program. A former standout XC state medalist and track athlete at Skutt Catholic, he brings a great understanding of tradition and success to our team. Coach Leutzinger graduated from UNL in May 2017 with bachelors degree in Nutrition, Exercise, and Health Sciences . He is currently pursuing a Masters of Science in Biomechanics from UNO.
